I'm all packed and mostly ready to go.
I won't be around for a few days, maybe longer depending on how long it takes to get the internet set back up.

We're going to be moving sooner than first expected. So i'm somewhat rushed off my feet trying to finish old projects before we go(mostly paintings and non-jewellery stuff), I haven't even started packing! Got a week and a half to go...


The mannequin the WIP pics(shown below) have been taken on, is a work in progress in it's self... It's a papier mâché torso that Oliver and I build up from a box, a old styrofoam head(which I had fun shaping), a pair of stockings and some twistlock thing that we butchered from something found on the side of the road(so I can adjust the heigh) and a whole lot of duct tape.
In the end, this mannequin will be all alien and will be used for me to build necklaces and armour on... right now, he needs more shapping!

It's my next major project after the flower necklace and I want both finished before I move!

The flower necklace i'm working on for


I've started off with a simple 1x1 chain that will be built up into the Shaggy Loops weave.
4 Large roses and 5 rose buds was my starting point for colours... Everything else in the necklace will get worked around these.



I've added foliage!
I'd normally add my little daisies at this point but I haven't decieded on which style of daisy I'm going to use... Too many to chosse from!



I've finished all the polymerclay work and have added the first lots of chain. I rearranged things to make it more pleasing looking and fixed anything not sitting right.


Now i've just got chain to go!

My mummy got a new kitten yesterday!!
She's named him Max! He's a Ticked Tabby and Oh so cute!!
I will so have to get pictures!


I've been drawing and painting more lately, been reading up on bone and muscle structure too... It's all been helping improve my skills and it's been giving me some total surreal sci-fi inspiration.
It seems to be helping with my polymerclay work too!

Hey All!

First off I just want to say a huge Thank You to all your wonderful comments and all the love i've been sent these past weeks!
It's meant a lot to me, so Thankies!!



I'm going to be moving in 5 weeks...give or take!!!!
We're moving into town, less than a 5 min walk around the corner to town infact!
As such, I hope I'll be able to find some art classes to join, get out of this 'hermit crab' routine and meet some people!!
I will miss living in the country and all the organic backdrops Oliver uses for my photos but it'll all be worth it in the end.


No photos of anything new... there's been a huge storm here so i've spent the past few days sculpting!
I'm working on a necklace/pin for myself and a gaint(biggest yet) ChainMaille polymer flower necklace with Deb; in mind... I've only finished the 'core' of the shaggy loops chain and the 9 roses, there's a long, long, long way to go!
I'll add some WIP pics to give you all an idea of how I build my necklaces up.

I swear i'm still alive...

I have been sick since the beginning of the year, as I mentioned in my last journal, I had been unwell, I thought I was all better when it came back with a vengeance.
It seems most of it was triggered by anxiety(among other things) and as I worried about being sick I just got sicker and sicker.
It turned into a vicious circle, I had to step aside and view things from someone elses perspective... realising that my own conscious mind was causing my ills was very unpleasant(to say the least)

I had to change my lifestyle, to help eliminate the stress.
Which just happened to fix my time issues. I now have more structure in my days, so I've got a lot more time for art and DA!

My inbox is a mess right now but I refuses to just deteat all that beautiful work you've all been making... it just might take me awhile to get thought it all but I shall get there!

I have missed everyone so very much! hug:
